We're collaborating with Mizata Anti-Resort to host our second international Adventure and Wellness retreat at Playa Mizata, El Salvador, November 10-15, 2025.

FAQs

How many meals and drinks are included? You get three meals and three non-alcoholic drinks a day.
Any meals, snacks or drinks outside of the three per day will be your responsibility.
What if I have food restrictions or allergies No problem! The restaurant team are mindful and respectful of ALL food allergies and restrictions.
We will ask you what those are before the trip so their team knows well in advance and can plan in advance.
Will we be stopping at a grocery store before coming to the resort? No, if you plan to bring your own snacks that must be picked up prior to leaving the airport.
Can I bring my own alcohol to the resort? No, outside alcohol is allowed.
If you choose to drink at the restaurant, you will pay for those cost on your own.
What if I just want to buy alcohol at the resort? This is a Wellness retreat and is best for those who are not partaking in alcoholic substances. If you choose to do so, you can buy drinks at the restaurant separately from the cost of the retreat.
This is preferably an alcohol-free retreat, but if you choose to drink please do not partake in any activities that would put you or anyone else at risk.

What day do I need to book my flight?
Book your flight for Monday, November 10, 2025 before 2 PM CST. Check in time at Mizata starts at 4 PM CST.What airport do I fly into?San Salvador International Airport
How long does it take to get to the resort from the airport? It will take 90 minutes to get to Mizata Anti-Resort.
Do I have to book my own transportation to the resort? No. Transportation to and from the resort is included in the total cost.
What day do I need to return from my flight? Return flights should be November 15, 2025 anytime after 3 PM CST. Check out time at Mizata is at 1 PM CST.

Who is this retreat for? This retreat is designed for femme-identifying individuals, queer couples, and trans and non-binary folks over the age of 18 who are seeking connection, wellness, and adventure.

How much will this retreat cost me? The cost per person depends on the room you are securing. In general, the prices range from $3,508-$2,309.
Single rooms are the most expensive.
Double occupancy in several of the rooms will require you to share a king bed.
Triple occupancy is the cheapest and has one king bed with two daybeds.
What's included in the price? All prices cover transportation to and from the resort, three meals and three non-alcoholic drinks, daily yoga, one sound bath, one adventure, one cultural immersion, a 15-minute horseback ride, daily sauna and cold plunge, and three pools.
What is the cost of flights to El Salvador? The flight to El Salvador will range from $250-500 depending on the airline and when you book. Use Google Flights to track prices to get the best deals for that date. *These prices are guesstimates.

Do I need to bring my own towels or bath products? No, This is a luxurious resort with full amenities. Each room will have showers, towels, and luxurious bath products.
Can I use the pool at any time? Yes, you’ll have access to pools all day, everyday.
Can I use the cold plunge and/or sauna any time? Yes, you’ll need to inform the resort that you want to use the sauna and they will get it ready for you. The cold plunge can be used at any time.
Is there a hot tub at Mizata? No, at this time there is no hot tub.
Are massages included in my price? No, massages and any other spa item are an extra add-on.

Do I need to bring full blown hiking shoes if I go on a hiking adventure?No. You’ll be fine with chacos/tevas or basic athletic shoes. *Tennis shoes are recommended for volcano hikes.
Will there be yoga? Of course! Yoga will be led daily by Michelle in the beautiful open-air yoga beach shala.
Michelle will lead a variety of yoga classes - kundalini, yin + meditation, as well as a mindful yoga class.
Can I get a massage while I’m at Mizata? Yes, massages and use of the spa will be for an extra cost starting at $50 plus gratuity and taxes.
You can also replace any sound bath, hiking adventure, or cultural immersion with a massage.
What is a Temazcal Utero Sweat Lodge Mayan Ritual? It is a traditional Mayan Ceremony that takes place in a dome-shaped sweat lodge, often referred to as a "Temazcal" where participants sit around heated stones and are exposed to steam infused herbs, creating a deeply cleansing and transformative experience. This is often seen as a symbolic return to the womb with a focus on healing and connecting to the feminine energies of the body.
It is 1-2 hour ritual guided by a local shaman that includes chanting, prayers, and intentions.
How long is the sound bath? A sound bath is included in the price and will be held outside for approximately 2 hours.
Is horseback riding included? Yes, a 15-minute horseback ride is included for each person.
If you want a longer horseback ride, that will come with an extra cost.
What other experiences are available at Mizata? You can sign up to participate in other activities like a volcano hike, Mayan Ruins, spa services, and more for an additional cost.
Some cultural experiences require 10+ people and off resort adventures require 4+ people.

Will technology be available? Wifi is available but our goal is to get you to unplug, disconnect and escape your busy, complicated life for a rejuvenating and healing six days in a coastal paradise.
We hope over the course of the six days, you'll take time to grow, stretch, breathe in the ocean air and reconnect with nature so that you can recharge your soul.
Instead of being on our phones, let’s connect with nature, each other and discover ourselves on this retreat.
If you need cell service be sure to update your phone plan to receive that. Cell service may or may not be available.

What happens in a medical emergency?
Sunshine and I are Wilderness First Aid and CPR certified. We will have a first aid kit on us at all times and one in the room where we will be staying.
Our first priority is to identify serious medical situations that require immediate evacuation and to take appropriate steps to stabilize our guests until help arrives.
We are able to provide support in remote areas where access to professional medical care is delayed, by providing basic life-saving interventions and stabilizing a patient until further assistance arrives.
We can provide basic first aid procedures like wound care, CPR, managing bleeding, treating for shock, and addressing common injuries like sprains and strains in remote settings.In all situations, we call first-responders immediately and then care for our guests until help arrives.

What kind of critters are in El Salvador? All kinds of lizards, snakes, spiders, scorpions and other insects can be found but your chances of being hurt by any of them are slim.
What if I don't want to participate in one of the included activities? If you choose to not do one of the included activities, you can replace it with a massage instead. Just let us know!
Do I need to bring my own yoga mat? Nope! All yoga equipment is provided.
Do I need to bring my own towels? Nope! All towels are provided.
Do I need to bring my own bath products? Nope! All bath products are provided (shampoo, conditioner, and body wash).
Do I need to bring my own hair dryer? Nope! A hair dryer is provided in each room.
What about travel insurance? There are TONS of options out there, so it's also wise to do your own research. And, it depends on if you're looking for general insurance or medical insurance or cancellation coverage. But we hope this helps!
World Nomads - good for covering adventurous activities internationally (yoga, surfing, horseback riding, etc.).
AXA - very affordable with basic coverage.
Allianz - good for pre-exisiting conditions but doesn't cover "high-risk activities."
